Southern Belle Orchard

Southern Belle Orchard is a family-run orchard based in the heart of the Waikato, around the corner from the famous Hobbiton Movie set and surrounded by dairy farms.

Frans & Tineke de Jong bought the orchard in 2003, emigrating from the Netherlands, and in 2013 their son Talbert de Jong and partner Emily Meese joined the business.Emily says “We are passionate about producing the very best quality zeijoas and want to share their deliciousness with the world.”

Winner of Ballance Waikato farm environment award in 2015, they are also all passionate about creating a sustainable business & environment that can continue for generations to come.
